One home for every table.
The Data Hub is where your tables live — organized into folders, versioned, and governed. Every step in Arkx reads from and writes to the hub, so there's one source of truth your team can trust.
The problem
In most finance teams, the data lives everywhere and nowhere. The real budget is in someone's inbox. Last quarter's actuals are in a file called _final_v3. The version the board saw is on a desktop no one can find. There's no single place that's the truth — just copies, scattered, each one slightly different.
What Data Hub does
Your tables live in folders, organized however your team thinks — raw data, invoices, budgets, reporting. Anyone with access opens a folder and finds the real, current table, not a guess about which copy is newest.
Every table shows when it was last updated and where the data came from, so you're never wondering whether a number is fresh. And because the Hub keeps each version, the old numbers don't disappear when new data arrives — you can look back at exactly what a table held last month, or last quarter, and see what changed. The report you sent in March still matches what the Hub says March looked like.
That's the foundation everything else stands on. Because the data lives in one governed place instead of scattered across files, every number can be traced back to its source — and that's what makes the lineage running through Extract, Clean, Analyse, and Publish possible in the first place. The Data Hub is where the single source of truth stops being a slogan and becomes an actual place you can open.
